Pearl Abyss published a second Crimson Desert roadmap detailing free updates through September and confirming a paid DLC is in development.

Pearl Abyss released a second roadmap for Crimson Desert that outlines free updates through September and confirms a paid DLC is in development.

The roadmap lists narrative, combat, cross-save and quality-of-life updates. The studio wrote, “We have been carefully reviewing the story-related feedback you have shared with us,” and stated it will refine Kliff’s journey through Pywel to improve coherence and engagement.

The Re-Blockade system will be reworked to add a new phase to smooth sequences before and after a blockade. The update will add mechanics to defend specific strongholds and improve rewards for liberating locations.

New combat content will let players test their strength “as a Greymane.” The roadmap describes this as combat-focused content; Pearl Abyss did not provide further gameplay details.

Cross-save support is planned so players who link accounts can share save files and continue progress on PC, PlayStation and Xbox once the feature goes live.

Playable-character balance will be adjusted. Damiane and Oongka will receive gameplay changes so all three lead characters receive more equal play opportunities.

The studio also plans ongoing improvements to non-combat systems such as trading and farming to address player-reported inconveniences.

Pearl Abyss confirmed a paid DLC is under development but provided no specifics. The team described the expansion goal as a “meaningful addition” to the open-world title and added that more information will arrive later.

The developer presented the roadmap as a continuation of its post-launch update plan and noted it has completed previous commitments. Additional announcements on combat content and the DLC are expected in future updates.
