Sega celebrates 600K X followers with 60 free icons

Sega announced on X that it has surpassed 600,000 followers and published 60 free profile icons featuring characters and hardware from franchises including Sonic and Persona. The icons are available to download from Sega’s X profile and use as avatars.

The set spans designs that reference long-running game series and legacy consoles. Users can view the full set on Sega’s X profile and save individual images for use as profile pictures.

The release coincides with several Sonic-related initiatives planned for this year. Sega has announced activities tied to Sonic’s 35th anniversary and a Sonic Symphony World Tour that will highlight three decades of the franchise’s music.

Sega published its latest financial results recently and revised sales figures for major franchises. Sega plans to trim its free-to-play and Games-as-a-Service slate and shelve an internal project known as the ‘Super Game.’ The company confirmed that Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio remain in its development plans.

The icons are intended for casual use by followers on social platforms and can be downloaded individually from Sega’s X account.
