Mina the Hollower hits 500,000 sales, Yacht Club avoids cuts

Mina the Hollower sold 500,000 copies since its May 29 launch, allowing Yacht Club Games to avoid staff cuts or outside investment and focus on marketing and post-launch fixes.
Mina the Hollower has sold more than 500,000 copies since its May 29 launch across platforms, Yacht Club Games confirmed. The studio combined sales across platforms, including Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions.
Yacht Club posted a company statement that thanked players and included the line, “Half a million Hollowers have descended into Tenebrous Isle, and we’re completely blown away.” The announcement framed the figure as an early milestone for the title.
The studio wrote that the revenue from those sales will allow it to avoid staff reductions or taking outside investment. Yacht Club said it will use the funds to focus on marketing the game and on post-launch work to address technical issues and release patches.

Founder and director Sean Velasco earlier described 500,000 sales as “golden.” He has since set a new target of one million copies and added he would be “disappointed” if the game did not reach that level.
Yacht Club noted that players who streamed, reviewed and shared the game helped reach the milestone. The studio also said Mina the Hollower has become one of the highest-rated titles of 2026 so far.
The studio plans to continue promotional activity and post-launch support while pursuing the one million sales goal without seeking outside capital.
