Star Fox on Switch 2: Fox, Falco and Wolf amiibo add emblems
Nintendo confirms Star Fox for Switch 2 supports Fox, Falco and Wolf amiibo; place them on a Joy-Con 2 or Switch 2 Pro Controller analog stick to unlock exclusive backgrounds and emblems.
Nintendo confirmed on its Japanese website that Star Fox for Switch 2 will support Fox, Falco and Wolf amiibo.
Placing one of the three figures on the analog stick of a Joy-Con 2 or the Switch 2 Pro Controller grants players exclusive visual items in the game, including background images and emblem designs.
The website highlights the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fox, Falco and Wolf amiibo as compatible and provides sample emblems and background art tied to each character. Nintendo notes that the page does not list every item that can be unlocked.
Star Fox for Switch 2 also includes social features linked to character identity. GameChat character avatars let players appear as Fox McCloud and other crew members when speaking with friends. Augmented-reality filters can add Fox-style ears or a Falco-style beak that moves with the user’s speech.
Nintendo has scheduled the Switch 2 release for June 25, 2026, and says more details about amiibo support may be shared before launch.
