007 First Light main campaign estimated at 20 hours
IO Interactive estimates a 20-hour main campaign for 007 First Light; additional missions will roll out post-launch via a Tactical Simulator.
IO Interactive estimates the average player will take about 20 hours to complete the main campaign of 007 First Light. The studio plans to release the game on PlayStation, Xbox and PC on May 27, 2026. A Switch 2 release has been delayed to later in the summer.
The 20-hour figure applies to a single playthrough of the core story and excludes extra challenges that will be added after launch. The developer’s gameplay director provided the estimate during team discussions and noted that playtime will vary with difficulty settings and player skill.
The Tactical Simulator will introduce additional missions over time. These missions will be separate from the main narrative and focus on discrete, replayable challenges with scoring and ranking systems to encourage repeated attempts.
IO Interactive positioned 007 First Light as a single-player Bond experience with layered mission design and multiple approaches to objectives. Completion times may be shorter for experienced players or longer for those who pursue optional content and higher difficulty settings.
The gameplay director described the estimate as “a 20 hour campaign for the average player,” adding that it does not include the Tactical Simulator missions set to arrive after launch.
