007 First Light Tops 3 Million Sales After Launch

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM reported that 007 First Light has sold more than 3 million copies since its May 26 release.

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM reported that 007 First Light has sold more than three million copies since its May 26 release. The title reached over 2.7 million sales in its first week and moved roughly 1.5 million units on day one.

IO Interactive chief executive Hakan Abrak noted the release is performing above expectations and is selling faster than any of the studio’s previous titles. He clarified that the widely reported $200 million figure includes costs beyond core game development, such as marketing, and added he is “very confident” the project will be profitable.

The studio and Amazon MGM outlined a post-launch plan that includes additional content and updates. They confirmed a port is planned for Nintendo Switch 2.

A studio social post read, “Your support means the world to us, and we can’t thank you enough for being part of this journey.”

Amazon will act as publisher for the title. The company has not clarified whether development responsibilities for future sequels will change. Players raised concerns on social channels about future stewardship of the franchise; neither IO Interactive nor Amazon MGM has announced final arrangements for sequels beyond publishing roles.

Both partners stated they will continue to support the game with updates and additional post-launch content intended to extend player engagement and long-term revenue.
