Developed and published by IO Interactive, 007 First Light is an action-adventure origin story that follows a young James Bond during MI6 training. The campaign centers on Bond earning his place in the Double 0 ranks after a heroic act while serving as a naval air crewman. A mission to stop a rogue agent ends in tragedy and pushes Bond and his reluctant mentor, Greenway, to investigate a conspiracy and prevent a coup at the center of the state.
Gameplay focuses on stealth, gadgets and narrative-driven missions. The studio, known for the Hitman series, designed the game around stealth encounters and gadget-based approaches to objectives. The title is a single-player, story-focused entry that places Bond’s early experiences and relationships at the center of its campaign.
The cast includes Patrick Gibson as the young James Bond, with supporting performances from Lenny Kravitz, Priyanga Burford and Gemma Chan. A trailer and an official description outline the plot and the game’s tone.
The Deluxe Edition granted to preorders contains the base game, four outfits named Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator, the Agent’s Mark weapon skin, and a Gleaming Pack that includes four gadget skins: Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun and Gleaming Pen.
007 First Light is IO Interactive’s first full-length James Bond title and is available now on PS5 via the PlayStation Store.
