13 open-world games land on PlayStation Plus Game Catalog

PlayStation Plus Game Catalog added 13 open-world games to its library, available now to qualifying PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe subscribers. Star Wars Outlaws was added the same day as the announcement. Games can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store and regional lineups may vary.

The selection includes titles with historical settings, futuristic cityscapes and space western themes, and covers releases from 2014 through 2024, including Grand Theft Auto V (2014) and Star Wars Outlaws (2024).

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (2020) places players in late 9th-century England and Norway with a customizable protagonist, raids, settlement building and stealth mechanics. Cyberpunk 2077 (2020, updated 2022) uses attribute-based character builds for hacking, combat or technical skills as players move through Night City; the character Johnny Silverhand is voiced by Keanu Reeves. Death Stranding Director’s Cut (2019, director’s cut 2021) centers on long-range delivery missions across a fractured United States and emphasizes inventory encumbrance and traversal; it features performances by Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and Lea Seydoux. Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut (2020, director’s cut 2021) offers samurai combat and stealth in feudal Japan.

Fallout 4 (2015) presents post-apocalyptic exploration with settlement building and faction outcomes influenced by player choices. Far Cry 6 (2021) focuses on revolutionary combat with Resolver weapons, Supremo backpacks and deployable vehicles. Grand Theft Auto V (2014) features three playable protagonists involved in crime, heists and open-world missions. Hogwarts Legacy (2023) allows players to learn spells, brew potions, craft items and explore a wizarding school setting set before the events of the Harry Potter books.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered (2017, remaster 2024) combines exploration with combat against machine creatures and includes crafting and high-tech tools. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (2024) pairs turn-based battles with city-based side activities such as karaoke, darts and arcade games set in Yokohama and Honolulu. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (2023) expands traversal and combat for two playable Spider-Men and includes symbiote and bio-electric abilities. Red Dead Redemption 2 (2018) is set in 1899 and follows Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde Gang across a detailed late-19th-century American West. Star Wars Outlaws (2024) is a space western with ship and ground combat, cantina encounters and missions involving criminal syndicates.

Subscribers can access single-player campaigns and any multiplayer components included with each title without additional purchases beyond the subscription tier required.
