20+ PS5 games arrive May 25-31, led by 007 First Light

More than 20 titles are scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 5 between May 25 and May 31. The week’s highest-profile releases include 007 First Light on May 27 and Mina the Hollower on May 29. The slate spans action-adventure, horror, racing, farming simulations, virtual reality and family games.

007 First Light, due May 27, presents an origin story for a young James Bond within MI6 training. Mina the Hollower, due May 29, is a pixel-art action-adventure from the developers of Shovel Knight that centers on exploration, combat and survival on a cursed island.

Several titles arrive on May 26. Realm of Ink is a puzzle-platformer in which the player gains new forms and navigates changing environments. World of Tanks: HEAT is a free-to-play team vehicle-combat game that pairs Agents with advanced tanks and customizable loadouts. Yerba Buena is a surreal puzzle-platformer in which an NPC named Barb uses a device called the Oscillator to confront threats to an abandoned San Francisco.

May 27 also brings Nitro City Racing, an arcade-style street racer with vehicle customization; Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, which continues the series’ factory-set horror narrative; and Virtual Hunter, a virtual reality hunting simulation featuring realistic weapon handling and several animal species.

The May 28 lineup includes Amanda the Adventurer 3, which centers on a character who finds old VHS tapes; Blueberry, a character-driven game tracing key memories across a life; Bluey’s Quest for the Golden Pen, a family title tied to the show; Forensic M.E. Protocol, an investigation simulator with nine cases; Necrophosis: Full Consciousness, a first-person psychological horror; Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis Next with local split-screen matches; One Move Away, a first-person packing-puzzle game; and Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, a farming and market-revival title.

My Little Puppy and N.E.R.D. are scheduled for May 29. Lunar Strike, a survival game set on the Moon with a science-forward focus, is set for May 31. Prices, editions and platform-specific features vary by publisher and title.
