8BitDo has opened preorders for the Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox, priced at $149.99. Orders are available on the US Amazon storefront and the 8BitDo eShop. Shipments are scheduled to begin Aug. 31, 2026. The company announced a Lavender Dusk Ultimate 3 model at $99.99.

The Ultimate 3E is described as a pro-level, modular wireless controller for Xbox consoles and PC. It supports low-latency 2.4G wireless connectivity with Xbox One, Series X and Series S. The retail package includes a 2.4G USB adapter, an integrated wireless charging dock, a USB cable and an accessory pack.

Hardware options include swappable ABXY modules in silicone or micro-switch types; two standard and two tall joysticks; one thick-neck and one dome joystick; and two premium metal D-pad designs. The controller uses TMR joysticks paired with a 12-bit ADC sampling chip. It features Hall-effect impulse triggers with two trigger stops and remappable fast bumpers. RGB “Fire Rings” provide visual feedback. When connected to a PC in wired or wireless mode, the controller can reach a 1000Hz polling rate.

In its announcement, 8BitDo wrote: “Built for serious players who demand pro-level accuracy and deep customization. Swap parts, fine-tune responses, and personalize every detail — from ABXY modules to joysticks and D-pads, to shape a controller that truly matches your competitive playstyle.”

The accessory pack packaged with the Ultimate 3E contains a standard D-pad, a micro-switch ABXY module and several joystick heads (tall, dome and thick-neck). The company lists support for six-axis motion control when using the 2.4G connection on PC.

Preorders are currently listed on the US Amazon storefront and the 8BitDo eShop. Availability on other regional Amazon stores appears pending. 8BitDo first teased the controller earlier in the year and had previously targeted a Q2 2026 release window; the current preorder listing sets a firm ship date of Aug. 31, 2026.
