Abandoned reappears on PlayStation Store as Abandoned Prologue

After years of silence the PS5 title Abandoned returned to the PlayStation Store as Abandoned Prologue with a 2027 release window and can be added to wishlists.

Users on X spotted an updated PlayStation Store page for the PS5 title Abandoned that now lists the game as Abandoned Prologue and shows a 2027 release window. The store page includes a new background image and remains available for users to add to their wishlists.

Blue Box Game Studios and founder Hasan Kahraman first announced Abandoned in 2021. The studio described the project as a first-person survival horror and released a free PS5 app called Abandoned Realtime Experience that offered a short teaser and sections for additional marketing materials.

Mentions of the project later disappeared from social channels and the studio provided no further public updates. Suggestions that Hideo Kojima was involved were denied by Kojima; Kahraman later thanked Kojima for clarifying. A 2022 report said the project stalled amid funding shortfalls and may not have progressed beyond early development. Kahraman’s profile more recently included a reference to a project titled Abandoned: Gospels of Blood.

The current PlayStation Store entry lists Abandoned Prologue with a 2027 release window and indicates PS5. It does not list other platforms, provide gameplay details, or clarify whether the listing refers to a full game, a smaller prologue release, or a placeholder. Blue Box has not issued a statement about the updated listing.
