Absolum adds full cross-play for local and online co-op
Absolum was updated to enable full cross-play across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC, allowing local and online two-player co-op.
Guard Crush Games has updated Absolum to add full cross-play across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). The change allows players on different platforms to join the same local or online co-op session for up to two players.
Cross-play covers online matchmaking and local couch co-op while the game’s single-player mode remains unchanged. Two-player teams can form across console and PC boundaries when both players run the same updated build.
Absolum includes cooperative systems such as character-specific assists and combined attacks that enable advanced two-player combos when partners coordinate timing. The cross-play update applies those systems across all supported platforms.
Absolum launched on PS5 and PS4 in 2025 and has since expanded to additional platforms. In February, Guard Crush Games released patch 1.1, which added a new game mode and extra content. The studio has continued issuing updates after launch.
The cross-play update is available now through standard platform patching. Players should install the latest version on their systems to access cross-platform sessions. Local co-op remains available for two players sharing a single system.
