Acclaim Announces Kidbash: Super Legend for Steam and Consoles

Acclaim has announced Kidbash: Super Legend, a claymation-style roguelike action-platformer developed by Indonesian studios Authentic Remixes and Fat Raccoon. The game is scheduled to launch on Steam and consoles in early 2027.

A cinematic trailer shown at BITSummit presented a diorama-like world, several boss encounters and an expanded cast. The trailer included brief gameplay footage labeled “never-before-seen,” highlighting the game’s handcrafted claymation visuals and toy-like stage design.

Press materials describe Kidbash as a “nostalgic roguelike action-platformer” that pays homage to classics such as Mega Man and Kirby 64 while combining fast-paced action, exploration and deep roguelike progression.

Players will control Kidbash, identified in promotional material as a “lost” and “forgotten hero.” The game mixes platforming with action-RPG systems and features weapon mixing, powerful gear mods and a variety of enemy and boss encounters.

Meta-progression is tied to a village hub. Character development and persistent upgrades are linked to village growth, and the hub evolves as players advance.

Acclaim confirmed the early 2027 release window for Steam and unspecified consoles. The publisher has not announced platform-specific versions, pricing or a firm release date; additional details are expected closer to launch.

The announcement is part of Acclaim’s current slate of releases as the company rebuilds its brand with new games. Developers Authentic Remixes and Fat Raccoon are based in Indonesia.
