Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Lands on PlayStation Store

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has launched on PlayStation 5 and is available to purchase and download from the PlayStation Store. Cold Iron Studios developed the game with Daybreak Game Company and 20th Century Games.

The third-person shooter places players in the roles of Colonial Marines and supports cooperative play for squads of up to four. The campaign centers on wave-based encounters and objective-driven missions against swarms of Xenomorphs.

Two digital editions are listed on the PlayStation Store. The Digital Standard Edition is priced at $49.99 and contains the base game. The 40th Anniversary Premium Edition costs $69.99 and bundles additional downloadable content and exclusive cosmetic items.

The Premium Edition includes Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack and Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack. Ripley’s pack contains a cosmetic outfit modeled on Ellen Ripley’s appearance in the 1986 film Aliens and a modified pulse rifle that player-created characters can equip.

Herk’s pack provides a comic-book–styled outfit, an oversized modified pulse rifle, decals and other cosmetic elements. A separate add-on, Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack, is available for $9.99 for owners of either edition; that pack delivers a modified Cryo weapon, a Colony outfit and a full loadout of traits, perks, augments, decals and colorways tied to Alien: Romulus.

The PlayStation 5 release arrived alongside versions for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The developer has scheduled a release for Nintendo Switch 2 this fall.

The game’s post-launch content includes paid cosmetic and weapon packs.
