Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, The Sinking City 2 Set for Summer 2026

Xbox confirmed Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 and The Sinking City 2 for Xbox Series X|S in Summer 2026; Fireteam adds four-player co-op and Sinking City 2 uses Unreal Engine 5.

Xbox confirmed two sequels, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 and The Sinking City 2, for Xbox Series X|S with a Summer 2026 release window. Both titles appeared in recent Xbox updates and were accompanied by official reveal trailers. Neither game has a specific launch date and publishers have not announced releases for other platforms beyond the Xbox Series X|S listings.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 expands co-op from three players to four and emphasizes coordinated squad play. Reveal materials describe “deeper team-based mechanics”, “new and improved classes” and a “massive variety of new xenomorphs”. The game is framed as a survival-focused shooter in which Colonial Marines must hold ground against ambushes and large swarms across hazardous environments. The trailer highlights updated combat and enemy variety but does not provide a precise release date beyond Summer 2026.

The Sinking City 2 is built on Unreal Engine 5 and returns players to a partially flooded Arkham. The trailer shows altered visual presentation, atmospheric environments and encounters with eldritch monsters. The title was previously scheduled for 2025 before its release window moved to Summer 2026.

Official trailers for both games are available and show gameplay and visual samples. Publishers have not released details on pricing, edition types, system requirements, post-launch support or cross-play. Platform listings currently specify only Xbox Series X|S.

Publishers have not provided a full schedule for additional announcements. Further information on exact release dates, platform rollouts and gameplay specifics is expected as the Summer 2026 window approaches.
