Ar nosurge RPG removed from PlayStation Store worldwide

Koei Tecmo removed Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star from the PlayStation Store on July 2, 2026. Digital sales and online services for Ar nosurge and Ciel nosurge will end; World Link stops Sept. 2, 2026.

Koei Tecmo removed Ar nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star from the PlayStation Store worldwide on July 2, 2026. The company announced it will end digital download sales and online services for both Ar nosurge and Ciel nosurge, and that the World Link cross-save feature will stop on Sept. 2, 2026.

A notice published by Koei Tecmo in Japan thanked players and explained the changes. The translated notice read, “We regret to inform you that we will be terminating digital download sales and online services for Ciel Nosurge and Ar Nosurge. Any available downloadable content will also be discontinued at the same time.”

Ar nosurge was developed by Gust and published by Koei Tecmo. It launched in 2014 for PS Vita and PS3 and received an international physical release. A PS4 port was released in 2021 but was available only through the Japanese PlayStation Store; that port has also been removed from sale.

Both Ar nosurge and Ciel nosurge are single-player titles that included an online cross-save function called World Link, which linked save data across platforms. Koei Tecmo indicated World Link will cease functioning after Sept. 2, 2026.

According to the notice, players who already own digital copies will still be able to play the single-player campaigns after online services end. Downloadable content will no longer be sold and World Link features will be discontinued. Koei Tecmo did not provide a reason for the delisting or details on refunds or transfers for affected customers.
