Astro Bot PS5 Patch Adds PlayStation Tournaments Pop-Up

Astro Bot on PS5 received a 400 MB update today to version 1.019.000 that adds an in-game PlayStation Tournaments pop-up as part of Sony’s Days of Play promotion. The update does not include new downloadable content linked to the upcoming State of Play presentation.

Developer Team Asobi has not published official patch notes for the release. Community posts and screenshots shared online show an in-game prompt that invites players to sign up for PlayStation Tournaments. The prompt directs enrolled players to the tournament events scheduled during the Days of Play campaign.

Users testing the update report the file size at roughly 400 MB and note the tournament sign-up is the only visible change in the live build. Players who follow the prompt are routed to the tournament sign-up flow promoted by Sony for participating titles, including Astro Bot.

The update arrived shortly before Sony’s planned State of Play showcase, which prompted player speculation that the patch might include surprise content or DLC. No official documentation or developer notice has confirmed additional gameplay content or downloadable releases tied to the State of Play.

Days of Play is a recurring PlayStation promotion that features sales, events and PlayStation Tournaments across multiple games. The pop-up added in the Astro Bot build notifies PS5 owners that the title is part of the tournament lineup and provides a sign-up link.

Team Asobi has not released further details or announced any imminent content drops. Community-shared screenshots and player reports indicate the v1.019.000 patch adds the tournament interface and no other visible content.
