Atelier Karia announced for early 2027 on major platforms

Koei Tecmo announced Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & Guide of Memories and released the first trailer. The company confirmed the game will arrive in early 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC and said it returns players to the continent of Aladiss, first introduced in 2025’s Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land.

The game follows Karia, an alchemist with amnesia. She explores the underworld of Aladiss while working to recover lost memories and develop her alchemy skills. The publisher described the title as the latest installment in the long-running series developed by Gust.

An official description reads: “Working together with Servio Lektor, a heretic biologist from the pioneering team, and Fina Rozen, a talented fighter, Karia sets out on a journey to explore Aladiss’ mysterious underworld to uncover its secret. Guided by alchemist Yumia Liessfeldt, Karia will develop her talent for alchemy whilst seeking to recover her lost memories, to reawaken the past and savor the present.”

The trailer focuses on character designs, locations and hints of party dynamics. Koei Tecmo confirmed platforms and the early 2027 release window but did not provide a specific launch date. The company has not released detailed information on gameplay systems or expected play time.

The Atelier series began in 1997 under Gust. The franchise includes more than 30 games and has inspired anime and manga adaptations. Atelier Karia is listed as the next major release in the series.
