August 2026 PS Plus departures may include day-one hit

Sony will publish the full list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in August 2026; predictions indicate day-one release Sword of the Sea could exit after one year.

Sony will publish the full list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in August 2026 in the coming weeks. Some titles that had been scheduled to leave in July were moved to August, creating a partial departure list already visible to subscribers.

Removals from the Extra and Premium tiers generally follow roughly 12- and 24-month cycles, with occasional six-month exits. Day-one releases typically carry one-year contracts on PS Plus; Sword of the Sea launched on the service at release and is therefore a likely candidate to leave when its one-year window ends. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered also reaches its one-year mark in August, although first-party titles do not always follow the same timetable.

Other games added to the catalog about a year ago and still available include Mortal Kombat 1, Earth Defense Force 6, Unicorn Overlord, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, Indika, Harold Halibut and Coral Island. Nearly all titles added two years ago have already left the service, and games added within the last six months are not expected to be removed under the usual scheduling. Sony will confirm the official August departure list shortly; projections will be updated once the company releases the definitive list.
