PS5 release date set for BeamNG.drive: Oct. 19, 2026

BeamNG.drive enters PS5 early access on Oct. 19, 2026. PS5 Pro will use PSSR while the standard PS5 will support FSR 3.

Developer BeamNG set Oct. 19, 2026 as the release date for BeamNG.drive on PlayStation 5. The game will launch in early access and is available to add to wishlists on the PlayStation Store.

BeamNG.drive debuted on PC in 2015 and is built around a soft-body physics engine that models vehicle parts and damage in real time.

The PS5 build will include platform-specific rendering features: the PS5 Pro will use PSSR while the standard PS5 will support FSR 3. BeamNG has not released detailed performance or graphical comparisons between the two console configurations.

The console release will arrive around the same time as the PC version 0.40 update. The studio wrote that the update delivers visual improvements, general fixes, a new vehicle available at launch and local split-screen support.

Local split-screen has been a frequent request from console players and will be included at the PS5 early access launch.

BeamNG.drive is not free-to-play; the developer provides free updates every few months. The studio has not announced a price for the PS5 release and said it will provide more information on pricing and post-launch content ahead of launch.

The developer wrote: “With its unique soft-body physics engine, PlayStation 5 players will be able to simulate every component of a vehicle in real time. Explore expansive open-world environments, experiment with a vast selection of customizable vehicles, and create your own true-to-life driving experiences.”
