BeastLink: PS5 kaiju game enters closed beta May 8

Grove Street Games will run a closed PC beta for BeastLink, a multiplayer kaiju game with fully destructible cities starting May 8; early access is planned for summer and PS5 will follow.

Grove Street Games announced BeastLink, a multiplayer kaiju game where players collect a serum to Link with towering Beasts and damage fully destructible cities. A closed PC beta begins May 8; early access is scheduled for summer with a PlayStation 5 release to follow.

Players can fight as humans and as linked Beasts. Each Beast has distinct abilities and combat styles. Collecting the serum initiates the Link, which grows stronger over time, granting greater power while carrying a risk of the player being consumed by the Beast. The game supports solo play and online multiplayer across multiple modes.

The game allows deployment of cars, helicopters, tanks and aircraft to increase on-screen destruction. Grove Street Games described a new destruction system called SuperDestruction and said it is designed to let players reduce urban areas to rubble during large-scale engagements. The studio highlighted physics-driven interactions and destructible environments as central elements of the design.

In its announcement, Grove Street Games wrote that BeastLink is “a brand new experience where humans, vehicles, and colossal Beasts collide in fully destructible cities at unprecedented scale,” and added that players will “amass the coveted serum, and use it to Link with towering Beasts” and that “the stronger your Link grows, the more power you command… and the more it threatens to consume you.”

Grove Street Games previously contributed to the GTA Trilogy remasters; its work was later removed from Rockstar’s re-releases. The studio is now promoting BeastLink as a new online title focused on large-scale monster combat and city destruction.

PC players who want to join the closed beta can sign up through the developer’s channels ahead of the May 8 test start. The studio has not provided firm release dates for early access or the PS5 launch beyond the summer window.
