Affiliate links require active retailer pre-order pages to function, so the Best Buy notice implies retailers would open pre-orders during the May 18–21 window. Affiliates use those links to track sales and earn a commission on qualifying purchases.

The emails specifically reference a physical SKU. That detail contradicts earlier suggestions that boxed copies might be delayed relative to a digital launch.
