Big Walk launches Aug. 4 on PS Plus standard tier

Big Walk, from the creators of Untitled Goose Game, launches Aug. 4, 2026 and will be available day one on PlayStation 5 via PlayStation Plus’ standard subscription tier.

Big Walk, developed by the team behind Untitled Goose Game, will launch on PlayStation 5 on Aug. 4, 2026 and will be available on launch day to subscribers of PlayStation Plus’ standard subscription tier. PlayStation confirmed the release date in a company press release and during a presentation today.

The Aug. 4 release falls on a Tuesday, aligning with PlayStation’s usual schedule for new game releases. PlayStation had previously indicated the title would join the standard subscription tier when it launched, making it one of the few games to arrive on day one as part of the standard plan rather than as a separate paid release.

Big Walk is described as a cooperative online “walker-talker” that sends small groups of players through a wide-open world filled with challenges, puzzles and discoveries. Players must work together to navigate environments, maintain contact using an assortment of in-game tools and toys, and create new ways to communicate when characters lose the ability to speak. The game emphasizes social play and exploration rather than combat.

A PlayStation press release confirmed the game’s inclusion in the standard PlayStation Plus catalog at launch. Subscribers to the standard plan will be able to download and play Big Walk on Aug. 4 without an additional purchase.

PlayStation’s July 2026 subscription lineup will still be released before Big Walk’s August addition. On release day the game will appear in the standard catalog for PlayStation 5 users with the subscription.

The development team previously created Untitled Goose Game, a title that combined humor with puzzle-based gameplay.
