Bloober Teases Switch 2-Focused Project M Horror

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno asked on LinkedIn how the Switch 2 could enable horror design unique to the platform, teasing Project M from subsidiary Broken Mirror Games and a possible Switch 2 exclusive.

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno posted on LinkedIn asking how Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and features could shape horror experiences that PlayStation, Xbox or PC could not replicate. The post referenced Project M, a title linked to the studio’s new subsidiary, Broken Mirror Games, and suggested the game may be aimed at the Switch 2.

Babieno framed the question around platform-driven design rather than raw processing power. He wrote, “I’m not even talking about raw power or graphics. More about how the platform itself can influence experience design: immersion, tension, player behavior, portability, console features, controllers, the feeling of ‘closeness’ with the game, or even completely different approaches to building atmosphere.” He invited followers to suggest ideas for atmosphere and player interaction tied to the platform.

Broken Mirror Games has been identified as the developer of Project M. Bloober Team has not released technical details, a release window, platform exclusivity terms, or gameplay descriptions for Project M.

Babieno made clear he did not intend to soften horror for a wider audience. He wrote, “I’m not asking how to make horror more casual or ‘safer.’ Quite the opposite — how to create something uniquely ‘Nintendo,’ while still remaining dark, disturbing and fully horror-driven.” He also advised caution when sharing concepts publicly, noting the studio might already be exploring similar ideas.

Bloober Team has released titles for the Switch 2, including Cronos: The New Dawn and Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition. The company previously discussed Project M and indicated in a late 2025 interview that more information would arrive “very soon.”

Project M remains unconfirmed beyond its association with Broken Mirror Games and Babieno’s LinkedIn post. There is no official description of mechanics or narrative, no confirmed release date, and no statement on whether the title will be a timed or permanent Switch 2 exclusive.
