The Blood of Dawnwalker won’t offer 60 fps on PS5 or PS5 Pro
Rebel Wolves’ The Blood of Dawnwalker will not support 60 fps on PS5 or PS5 Pro. Consoles will have Quality mode targeting 30 fps and Performance mode targeting 40 fps.
Rebel Wolves confirmed in a gameplay video that The Blood of Dawnwalker will not run at 60 frames per second on PlayStation 5 or PS5 Pro. Console versions offer two graphics modes: Quality mode targeting 30 fps with dynamic resolution up to 4K, and Performance mode targeting 40 fps at a similar output resolution.
The video showed the same gameplay segment on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X but did not include footage of the console Performance mode. Rebel Wolves described the PS5 Pro edition as offering ‘enhanced visual quality’ across both modes.
Rebel Wolves noted the Performance mode will require PS5 owners to use a TV or monitor capable of 120Hz output to access the option.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is an open-world action role-playing game from Polish developer Rebel Wolves, a studio formed by developers who previously worked on The Witcher 3. Players control Coen, a resident of 14th-century Vale Sangora who becomes a human-vampire hybrid called a dawnwalker.
The main campaign follows Coen as he develops vampiric abilities and attempts to rescue his family from the tyrant vampire Brencis and other Vrakhir who rule Vale Sangora. The game includes a branching dialogue system and a time-management mechanic in which activities consume measurable amounts of time. Coen has 30 days and nights to complete the primary objective.
The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch on September 3, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rebel Wolves confirmed the console frame-rate options and did not announce a 60 fps mode for PS5 or PS5 Pro.
