Blue Reflection Quartet JRPG Remasters Launch With Strong Reviews

Blue Reflection Quartet, a collection of remastered Japanese role-playing games from Koei Tecmo and Gust, releases tomorrow for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch (both models) and PC. The package gathers several remakes from the Blue Reflection series into a single release.

Early critical coverage gives the release a 78 aggregate score and a 67% recommendation rate. Those figures are based on reviews published before the official launch.

Critics highlighted character-driven storytelling, school-based settings and turn-based combat as recurring features across the bundled titles. Several reviews noted that those elements provide extended play time across the included games.

Some reviews pointed to awkward instances of fan service and other imperfect aspects, while still recommending the package to players who follow character-led JRPGs.
