Borderlands 4 drops to half price on PS Store

Gearbox’s Borderlands 4 is on sale on the PlayStation Store at 50% off, priced at $34.99 through July 30, 2026. The reduction applies to the digital PlayStation Store edition and is the largest price cut the title has received since its 2025 launch.

The sale is a timed promotion on Sony’s digital storefront and does not currently extend to other platforms or to physical copies.

Borderlands 4 is the fourth main entry in Gearbox’s RPG series. The story takes place six years after the previous game and follows four new Vault Hunters who travel to the planet Kairos. There they join a resistance movement aiming to find the planet’s Vault and to depose a ruler known as the Timekeeper.

The release added new vehicles, new traversal tools, expanded movement options and deeper skill trees. Players can equip powerful Action Skills and use dynamic movement abilities while customizing builds to engage enemies across Kairos.

The game’s official description reads: “Crash into Kairos as one of four new Vault Hunters seeking wealth and glory. Wield powerful Action Skills, customize your build with deep skill trees, and dominate enemies with dynamic movement abilities. Break free from the oppressive Timekeeper. Unite the people of Kairos and ignite a revolution.”

Borderlands 4 debuted in 2025 to generally positive reviews, with praise for its new features. The launch included reports of technical issues and bugs; Gearbox has released patches since launch to address several of those problems.

The promotional price will revert on July 30, 2026. Players who want the discounted digital edition must complete their purchase on the PlayStation Store before the sale ends.
