Caladrius returns with PS5 sequel Caladrius 2

Caladrius, a 2013 action shooter later released on PS3 as Caladrius Blaze, returns as Caladrius 2: Dark Element on PS5 in winter 2026; Nintendo Switch and PC are also listed.

H2 Interactive announced Caladrius 2: Dark Element for PlayStation 5, with Nintendo Switch and PC also listed. The publisher set a release window of winter 2026 but did not provide a specific date.

The sequel is being developed by Kaminari Games with involvement from MOSS, the studio behind the original title. H2 Interactive is overseeing the project and released a trailer that outlines the game’s visual direction and tone.

H2 Interactive describes the game as a 2D bullet‑hell scrolling shooter in a dark, gothic setting. The publisher says the title will combine fast-paced shooting with a character-driven presentation, include new illustrators, and offer multiple battlefields and a cast of distinct playable characters.

No details have been released on game modes, pricing, preorders, or platform-specific features. The announcement did not confirm an Xbox version of the sequel.

The first Caladrius launched in 2013 as a timed Xbox exclusive and was later ported to PlayStation 3 in 2014 under the name Caladrius Blaze. The new entry arrives more than a decade after the PS3 release.

H2 Interactive’s press release includes the following: “Thirteen years after the original title made its debut, the series is reborn with a brand-new installment that further evolves the shocking experience fans remember. Set in a dark gothic world where beauty and darkness intertwine, Caladrius 2: Dark Element delivers exhilarating 2D bullet-hell shooting action. Fight your way across battlefields engulfed in darkness alongside a cast of unique characters brought to life by talented new illustrators.”
