Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 Adds The Boys and Armored Royale

Season 5 ‘Revenge’ launches May 27 at 5PM PT with a The Boys collaboration, two superpowered modes, three Draws and a new Armored Royale vehicular BR.

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5, titled “Revenge,” launches May 27 at 5PM PT and includes a licensed collaboration with The Boys, two superpowered game modes, three themed Draws and a new Armored Royale vehicular Battle Royale mode.

The update applies The Boys content to both Multiplayer and Battle Royale. In Multiplayer, a mode called “The Boys MP — Supe’d Up Attack of the Undead” assigns every Operator one of three Supes: Homelander, Starlight or Black Noir. One player starts as an undead attacker whose objective is to eliminate survivors and convert them into more undead. Human players use ranged weapons and equipment to survive until the round timer expires. If a human survivor remains at the end, that player activates their Supe ability: Starlight emits a slowing shockwave, Black Noir draws a katana and gains speed with each elimination, and Homelander hovers and fires eye lasers while managing an overheat meter.

The Battle Royale addition, called “Vought Royale,” introduces Temp V deliveries that grant temporary superpowers. Operators who pick up a dose receive one of four powers that are consumed on use: Charge Jump allows long, fall-damage-free jumps with area damage on landing; Laser Vision levitates the user and fires beams; Electric Shockwave emits a pulse that damages enemies and disables vehicles and equipment; Blink teleports the user to a marked location.

Armored Royale adds squad-based vehicular combat to the Battle Royale experience. Squads spawn near personal armored vehicles that act as each player’s spawn point. If a vehicle stays intact when an Operator is eliminated, that Operator will respawn after a short cooldown. Teams earn cash by completing objectives to upgrade vehicles and can use repair stations to heal damage. Destroyed vehicles remove the automatic respawn; players must then redeploy through buy-station purchases. The last team standing wins.

The collaboration includes three Draws focused on Homelander, Starlight and Black Noir. Each Draw bundles an Operator appearance with a Legendary weapon blueprint that has unique death effects and evolving reactive elements tied to in-match eliminations. The Homelander Draw centers on a thermal-beam-themed DRH blueprint, the Starlight Draw pairs a Sten blueprint with star-themed items, and the Black Noir Draw offers a DLQ33 blueprint with a flying-knife effect and stealth-themed gear.

Seasonal rewards include a themed event where players choose to play for either The Boys or the Dawn of the Seven and earn more than a dozen Epic-tier items. The Battle Pass has free and premium streams: free tiers add the BAL-27 assault rifle, which increases fire rate through sustained fire, and a Stealth Chopper scorestreak reskin; premium tiers add Operator skins and weapon blueprints for guns including the LW3-Tundra, RPD, Vargo-S and PPSh-41. A Battle Pass subscription provides monthly rewards, XP boosts and store discounts. A Challenge Pass offers Standard, Special and Elite missions that award Tokens for an Exchange shop.

Store updates will include Double COD Points and Web Store bundles starting May 24 UTC ahead of the in-game release, plus a Mythic Kui Ji “Viridescent Oath” Draw featuring Ryotaro “Kui Ji” Nagashima and a Legendary 3-Line Rifle blueprint. Promotional material for the collaboration quotes Homelander: “To those who seek to destroy me, the non-believers and backstabbers… I offer oblivion.” Further event details are available in the game’s Events tab and on Call of Duty: Mobile’s official channels.
