Call of Duty Season 04 arrives June 4 with new maps
Season 04 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone launches June 4 with two new maps, a remastered Vertigo, new modes, weapons, a Battle Pass and Zombies updates.
Season 04 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone launches on June 4 for PS5 and PS4. The update adds two new multiplayer maps, Liminal and Primetime, and a fully remastered Vertigo at launch. Additional maps are scheduled for mid-season and the Reloaded drop.
Liminal is a compact arena where the map’s center shifts during matches. Primetime is a 6v6 map built around a Japanese game-show style obstacle course. Vertigo returns from Black Ops 2 in a full remaster. Mid-season additions include Zenith, a cliffside estate, and a remaster of Launch from the original Black Ops.
Multiplayer mode changes begin at launch and continue through mid-season. Black Ops Classic introduces retro-style gameplay. Blueprint Gun Game and 6v6 Gunfight return. Mid-season modes include Team Blueprint Shooter, where weapon blueprints rotate regularly, and a Knife Fight variant that limits combat to melee. Black Ops 7 Ranked Play restarts with the season.
Season objectives will include Operation Wall Breaker at launch, which adds new challenges and rewards and features the Command Killer Glitch Fracture. A second operation, Operation King Killer, will arrive later in the season to extend in-season challenges.
Zombies mode gains a new survival map called Nuked Survival, which places players in a wave-based cul-de-sac layout. Totenreich Directed Mode adds a Starting Room option in Eidskallen Landing to help players progress through the main quest. Rogue Run returns with a roguelite format on Ashes of the Damned: players survive waves, choose rewards, then teleport to the next arena. A new round-based map, Kowakujo, set at a feudal Japanese castle near an active volcano, will arrive in Season 04 Reloaded.
Warzone updates include a Fortune’s Keep Refresh with three updated micro points of interest, movement improvements and new interactive features. Verdansk will host a 52v52 Clash mode at launch, and a mid-season Squad Gun Game will require teams to cycle through every weapon. Rebirth Island receives a seasonal update that removes the snow and resets map conditions. New gameplay features include a mobile Black Market accessed via the Shadowlink Contract on Fortune’s Keep Refresh, an Advanced Self Revive mechanic, a later-season Champion’s Quest challenge, and the return of Resurgence Ranked Play.
The season’s Battle Pass adds new weapon blueprints, operator skins and other unlocks. Players who buy the BlackCell package receive the Catalyst operator and a Mastercraft weapon blueprint, both with additional unlockable variants tied to in-game challenges. Six new weapons are planned: the KRS-7.62 marksman rifle and CBRS-3 SMG are available at launch through the Battle Pass. The Grimhawk Special, VX Compact assault rifle, Executioner’s Duet melee item and the AN-94 will be distributed through events and weekly challenges.
Remaining maps, modes and features will arrive during mid-season and in the Season 04 Reloaded drop over the coming weeks, following the game’s seasonal release schedule.
