Activision and developer Infinity Ward are running a live Korean-language teaser titled ‘Camera 004 | LIVE’ that points to the next Call of Duty carrying the Modern Warfare 4 name. The stream began as several industry showcases are scheduled for next week.

The translated video title includes the number 004, which observers have interpreted as a reference to the number four. The original Korean title and the use of the word ‘camera’ in the stream have led some viewers to suggest South Korea may appear in the game’s campaign or setting.

A leaker using the handle billbil-kun posted an obscured image that appears to spell out Modern Warfare 4, reinforcing the hints in the livestream title. Infinity Ward has described the upcoming project with the words ‘determined, bold, relentless’ on its promotional page.

Microsoft’s Xbox showcase on June 7 is among the scheduled events where the game could be formally announced. Other events next week, including a PlayStation broadcast and a game showcase hosted by a festival organizer, present additional opportunities for an official reveal.

Call of Duty has released entries annually and the Modern Warfare subseries began with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2007. Infinity Ward developed earlier Modern Warfare titles and is listed as the studio behind the current teaser.
