Capcom confirms Resident Evil: Code Veronica for Switch 2
Capcom confirmed Resident Evil: Code Veronica will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 next year; date, price and feature details are pending.
Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil: Code Veronica will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 next year.
The publisher said the classic survival-horror title is being prepared for Nintendo’s next console and that the release window is set for next year. Capcom did not provide a firm release date, price or a full feature list for the Switch 2 edition.
The port will bring one of the series’ early mainline entries to Nintendo’s next-generation handheld-console hybrid, making the game available to Switch 2 owners.
Capcom has not specified whether the version will be a straight port, an HD remaster, or include updated controls and graphical enhancements. Details on editions, pre-orders, technical performance and screenshots will be revealed in the coming months.
Resident Evil: Code Veronica originally debuted in 2000 on Sega’s Dreamcast and later received expanded releases on other platforms.
The game follows Claire Redfield as she searches for her brother and uncovers new locations and characters, including a remote island prison and an Antarctic facility.
Capcom has previously released updated versions of older Resident Evil titles for current consoles.
No regional release dates or information on physical versus digital availability were announced. Capcom indicated further information will be shared closer to the launch next year.
