Capcom confirms Tifa for Street Fighter 6 Year 4
Capcom confirmed Final Fantasy VII’s Tifa Lockhart will join Street Fighter 6 and released a Year 4 roadmap detailing new fighters, balance patches and seasonal content.
Capcom published the Year 4 roadmap for Street Fighter 6 and confirmed Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII will join the roster as a guest fighter. Capcom said specific release timing and pricing will be provided in a later update.
The roadmap lists planned content for the year, including additional playable characters, new stages and cosmetic items, regular balance patches and seasonal events. It continues the game’s established cycle of downloadable characters and gameplay updates from previous years.
Tifa Lockhart first appeared in the 1997 Final Fantasy VII. Her inclusion adds another cross-franchise guest to Street Fighter 6’s cast. Capcom has not yet released details on her move set, how she will be integrated into modes such as World Tour or Battle Hub, or whether she will appear in crossover bundles.
Capcom noted Year 4 will include ongoing technical and competitive support, with balance adjustments and content drops spaced across the year. The company said additional announcements, including release windows and fighter previews, will arrive on a rolling schedule.
Street Fighter 6 launched in 2023 and has received regular updates and downloadable content since release. The Year 4 roadmap sets expectations for another year of content additions and maintenance for players and tournament organizers, with fuller details about Tifa to follow in future communications.
