Capcom Posts Record FY2026 Sales, 13th Year of Profit Growth
Capcom reported record consolidated sales and operating profit for FY2026, marking 13 consecutive years of operating profit growth and the company’s strongest annual results.
Capcom reported record consolidated sales and operating profit for fiscal year 2026, marking the 13th consecutive year of operating profit growth. The company said 11 of those years posted operating profit increases of more than 10% consecutively. For fiscal 2027 Capcom has set a target of 8% operating profit growth.
Capcom attributed sales to recent game releases and related media. The company reported that Resident Evil Requiem sold 6.91 million units during FY2026; a celebratory post from the game’s director indicated sales may have reached roughly 7 million units. Devil May Cry 5 saw stronger sales following renewed interest from a streaming adaptation, and Street Fighter 6 exceeded 2 million units, aided in part by its release on the Switch 2.
The company said it plans to grow multiple franchises beyond Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. Capcom named Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Okami, Ace Attorney, Dead Rising and Dragon’s Dogma as brands it intends to develop further. Confirmed projects include Mega Man: Dual Override, slated for 2027, and a direct sequel to Okami in development at Clovers.
Near-term releases and media plans listed in Capcom’s materials include Onimusha: Way of the Sword, a Street Fighter movie scheduled for October and a second season of Devil May Cry on a streaming platform. The company’s financial documents did not reference the live-action Resident Evil film by Zach Cregger.
Capcom described FY2026 as the highest consolidated sales and operating profit in the company’s history.
