Capcom rumored to be remaking 1999’s Dino Crisis for PS5
Capcom is reportedly developing a PS5 remake of 1999’s Dino Crisis, with development reported to have started by 2022 and a digital-only release targeted for 2028-2029.
A leak from the account Team Biohazard reports Capcom is developing a PlayStation 5 remake of the 1999 action-adventure Dino Crisis. The account states development began by 2022 and that the title is planned as a digital-only release in 2028-2029. Capcom has not confirmed the project.
Dino Crisis was directed and produced by Shinji Mikami and first released on the original PlayStation in 1999. The franchise’s last new entry arrived in 2003. Capcom released Exoprimal, a dinosaur-themed multiplayer shooter, in 2023; official support for that game ended about a year after launch.
The leak does not name a developer or describe the remake’s scope, gameplay, or whether it will include multiplayer. The leak does not indicate whether platforms beyond the PS5 are planned.
