Bandai Namco will release Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters for Nintendo Switch in Japan on Aug. 27, 2026. The company revealed the date in the Japanese version of a new story trailer.
Pre-orders in Japan include an in-game 2026 Japan National Team jersey, a World Youth jersey and an early unlock pack that grants access to certain in-game content ahead of the standard progression.
Bandai Namco outlined two special editions at launch. The deluxe edition bundles the main game with a season pass that includes a season pass bonus and three downloadable character packs. The ultimate edition includes the main game and season pass plus five additional uniforms, two exclusive main menu themes, three ball customizations and additional unspecified content.
The company did not announce release timing for regions outside Japan. The trailer did not provide pricing, platform-specific formats or confirmation of physical copies.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters is the follow-up to the original Captain Tsubasa title. Bandai Namco has not released further statements beyond the trailer and has not provided additional regional or feature details.
