Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse arrives Oct. 15, 2026; Switch later

Konami confirmed Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will launch Oct. 15, 2026. The Nintendo Switch edition will follow later in 2026, with date and pre-order details to be announced.

Konami confirmed that Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will launch on Oct. 15, 2026. The company added the Nintendo Switch edition will arrive later in 2026, with a release date and pre-order information to be announced “at a later time.”

The release date was revealed during the Xbox Showcase. The trailer that closed the event listed platforms but did not include a Switch logo, which led to questions about the console release. Konami later reiterated the Switch version remains planned for 2026.

In a brief statement Konami wrote the Switch edition is “heading to the Switch in 2026” and added that further details will follow. The publisher did not specify whether the Switch release will be simultaneous with other platforms or whether it will target newer Switch hardware.

Belmont’s Curse is the next entry in the Castlevania series and follows the Belmont family as they confront supernatural threats. Konami emphasized the Oct. 15 launch for the platforms shown at the Xbox Showcase.

Konami provided no technical specifications, system requirements, pricing information or a pre-order window for any version of the game. A separate announcement will be needed to confirm platform-specific features, performance modes or exact timing for the Switch edition.

Some industry observers expect Nintendo could announce Switch release details during a rumored Nintendo Direct next week, but Konami has not tied its follow-up announcement to any event.
