Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse trailer omits Switch 2

A new gameplay trailer for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse premiered at the Xbox Game Showcase, confirmed an Oct. 15 release and did not mention a Nintendo Switch 2 launch.

Konami debuted a gameplay trailer for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse during the Xbox Game Showcase and confirmed the game will arrive on Oct. 15. The footage highlighted combat, level design and boss encounters but did not include any reference to a Nintendo Switch 2 release.

Konami first revealed Belmont’s Curse at Sony’s State of Play. The publisher lists a version for the current Nintendo Switch, but the Xbox presentation did not provide a launch window or confirmation for Nintendo’s next console.

The title is described as a 2D action-exploration platformer set 23 years after the events of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. Development credits name French studio Evil Empire and Motion alongside Konami.

The Xbox trailer focused on action-oriented gameplay, showing combat sequences, platforming and several boss fights. Konami has not released further platform-specific details or timelines beyond the Oct. 15 date.

No official announcement has been made about a Nintendo Switch 2 port or its timing.
