Cattle Country PS5 update adds bandit camps, bounties

Playtonic released the Bandits & Bounties update for Cattle Country, adding bounties, roaming bandit camps, random store robberies and new tools, outfits and fishing content.

Playtonic Games released the Bandits & Bounties update for Cattle Country, adding bounties, roaming bandit camps, random store robberies and new gear to the 2025 cowboy life sim. The update is available on PS5, PC and other consoles.

Players can pick up wanted posters at the Sheriff’s building, travel into the wilderness to track targets and capture wanted bandits. Bandit camps now appear across the game world, and towns will see random robberies that can target the General Store, Butcher, Carpenter and Bank.

New tools and inventory options change how players manage resources. A purchasable Toolbelt lets players craft while roaming. An Extra Large Bag expands inventory capacity by four rows. The update adds an animal trap for gathering creature resources and a Rock Tumbler for uncovering rare gems when breaking down rocks.

Character appearance and customization were expanded with a Tailoring Table where players can equip new outfits, hats and accessories. Fishing received seasonal additions: new fish species appear across seasons and a special fishing boat visits on Tuesdays and Saturdays to offer opportunities to catch different fish.

The update includes a range of bug fixes addressing issues reported by players. It is the second major content drop for the title; in October of the previous year developer Castle Pixel released the Family Life update, which added marriage mechanics, children and Halloween-themed content.

Cattle Country is described by its developer as a cozy cowboy adventure life sim in which players farm, fish, craft and mine while defending a customizable, expanding ranch from bandits. The Bandits & Bounties update adds new emergent events and tools to those core systems.
