Coffee Talk Tokyo lands on PS5 via PlayStation Store

Coffee Talk Tokyo is now available on the PlayStation Store for PS5. Standard edition costs $14.99; Deluxe is $17.99 with a prologue, extra tracks and a digital artbook.

Coffee Talk Tokyo, developed by Chorus Worldwide Games and Toge Productions, is available now on the PlayStation Store for PS5. The Standard Edition lists at $14.99 and the Deluxe Edition at $17.99.

Players assume the role of a late-night café barista in a fantasy version of Tokyo where humans and yokai share the counter. Gameplay involves preparing drinks for patrons while listening to personal stories. The game uses ambient lo-fi music and scripted conversations to explore themes such as love, loss, identity and second chances.

The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, a Seattle prologue chapter, 10 additional in-game City Pop tracks and a digital artbook. A free demo is available on the PlayStation Store for players who want to try the game before purchasing. The original Coffee Talk is available to PS Plus Extra subscribers through the Games Catalog.

The PlayStation Store description states: “In a city of paper and steel, where old and new coexist, a small cafe becomes a refuge from the sweltering summer heat. Behind the counter, you serve the right drink at the right moment while your customers open up about love, loss, identity, and second chances, all to chill lo-fi beats.”

A trailer released with the launch shows the game’s visual style, characters and soundtrack. On review aggregator Metacritic, Coffee Talk Tokyo holds an average score of 81 based on nine reviews. The game focuses on narrative and mood rather than action. It is listed on the PlayStation Store for immediate download.
