Control Resonant launches on PS5 with PS5 Pro enhancements

Control Resonant launched today on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5, with visual enhancements optimized for PS5 Pro. The Standard Edition is priced at $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99.

The game follows Dylan Faden, the younger brother of Jesse Faden from the 2019 title. It is set in a warped Manhattan where Dylan emerges after years in confinement and must locate his sister while confronting paranatural threats.

The game’s official description reads, “After years in confinement at the hands of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), Dylan Faden emerges into a warped Manhattan at the peak of a paranatural crisis.” Control Resonant is rated M for Mature.

Combat shifts from firearms to close-quarters fighting. Dylan wields the Aberrant, a shapeshifting weapon that can transform into a heavy two-handed hammer or a pair of dual blades. Players can combine those weapons with Dylan’s supernatural powers and environmental elements during encounters. The game features a progression system that lets players upgrade Dylan’s abilities and adapt them to different fights.

The digital PS5 version is available for immediate download. Physical PS5 editions are open for pre-order at major retailers ahead of a planned October 15 retail release. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes exclusive bonus content beyond the base game.

Remedy Entertainment has partnered with Annapurna Pictures on the next major installment in the series. Annapurna is co-financing and co-producing Control 2 as part of a strategic collaboration with Remedy.
