Control Resonant PS5 Digital Deluxe gets 48-hour early access

Remedy Entertainment will give 48-hour early access to players who preorder the PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition of Control Resonant. The early-play window begins Sept. 24, 2026. The Deluxe Edition at the same price on Xbox Series X|S and other platforms does not include early access.

Remedy confirmed the platform-specific incentive ahead of the game’s fall release. The early access offer applies only to the PS5 digital Deluxe Edition and does not extend to Deluxe purchases on other systems.

Players posted criticisms on social platforms, pointing out that the Deluxe Edition carries the same price across platforms while providing fewer benefits for non-PS5 customers. Xbox Series X|S users noted they do not receive the early-play perk for the same cost.

Remedy’s Communications Director Thomas Puha replied to some user posts on X; several community members described those replies as passive-aggressive. Some users attributed the early access to a platform agreement with Sony, while others said Remedy, as the game’s publisher, could have declined such a deal.

Control Resonant is scheduled for release in fall 2026 as a multiplatform title. Remedy has not announced any changes to the preorder incentives or any compensatory offers for buyers on non-PS5 platforms as of the latest update.
