Sega released a trailer for Crazy Taxi: World Tour showing a West Coast map. A Multiplayer Closed Network Test will run Sept. 11–13, 2026, with applications due Aug. 31, 2026.
Sega released a new trailer for Crazy Taxi: World Tour on PlayStation 5 that highlights a West Coast open map featuring beaches and hilltop streets. A Multiplayer Closed Network Test will run from Sept. 11 to Sept. 13, 2026; applications are open through Aug. 31, 2026 on a dedicated signup site. Selected applicants will be among the first players worldwide to try the game’s multiplayer modes.
The trailer shows varied terrain, including sandy shorelines, elevated residential areas and coastal roads. It emphasizes high-speed navigation and map layouts designed for arcade-style taxi racing.
The Closed Network Test will include two multiplayer modes. In Pickup Race, up to six players compete to drop off as many passengers as possible within a time limit to earn in-game money. In Cops ‘N’ Cabbies, players form two teams of three that compete against each other.
During the test, participants can race across two maps and choose from four characters and six cars. Multiple tune-up options will be available for vehicle customization. Access to the test will be limited to applicants chosen from those who sign up by the Aug. 31 deadline.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is scheduled for release on PS5 in 2027. Sega plans to provide more information about broader beta testing and the full launch closer to that date.
