Crimson Desert gets free Enhanced PS5 update

Pearl Abyss released a free Enhanced update for Crimson Desert on the PlayStation Store. The update, added without prior announcement, introduces new cutscenes, extra dialogue, five additional voiceover languages and Arabic subtitles and user interface options. The Enhanced version is available at no extra cost to current owners.

Crimson Desert launched for PS5 in March 2026. The studio described the update as adding “new cutscenes and dialogue that strengthen the story’s narrative flow, creating a more cohesive experience for players looking to be immersed in the world of Pywel.” The update centers on campaign and localization improvements rather than technical enhancements.

The new voiceover languages are French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese. Arabic subtitles and an Arabic user interface were added to broaden language support for the title.

Alongside the Enhanced update, the game is 20% off on the PlayStation Store through September 10. The base game is listed at $55.99, down from $69.99. The Deluxe Edition is also 20% off at $63.99 and includes digital bonuses such as the PS5-exclusive Grotevant Plate Set (helm, armor, cloak, gloves, boots), the Kairos Plate Set (helm, armor, cloak, gloves, boots), the Balgran Shield and the Exclaire Horse Tack Set (champron, barding, saddle, stirrups).

Pearl Abyss has provided steady post-launch updates for Crimson Desert since its March release; the Enhanced update is the latest content and localization release for the PS5 version.
