Crimson Moon launches September 2026 on PS5, Xbox, PC

Crimson Moon, a Nephilim action RPG from ProbablyMonsters, is due in September 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, the studio confirmed. The PlayStation Store listing is live.

ProbablyMonsters confirmed that Crimson Moon will launch in September 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The studio has not provided an exact day and the game is available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store.

Players assume the role of a Nephilim, a half-human, half-angel character created to defend humanity. The game is built around replayable runs through a city divided into districts and wards, with missions that change enemy makeup and challenge levels between attempts.

The developer described the combat as “souls-inspired melee combat” and said the game includes large boss encounters and enemy-specific executions. Opponents listed by the studio include demons, undead, vampires and Hellgrowth abominations that require different tactics.

Runs are presented as high-risk, high-reward missions. Progression between runs unlocks modifiers, new missions and skill achievements that affect future attempts.

Crimson Moon supports optional two-player cooperative play. In co-op mode, allies can share lives, revive fallen teammates and access synergies that affect how a run unfolds. The game applies dynamic difficulty scaling so encounter difficulty shifts with party composition and player performance.

Between runs players return to the Church, a hub for permanent upgrades, NPC interactions and mission planning. From the Church players use a War Table to choose new missions and prepare loadouts and upgrades.

The game features an angelic transformation system that grants temporary Nephilim powers and powerful divine attacks during runs, intended to provide brief combat boosts. ProbablyMonsters said the city reacts to the player and that each district offers distinct hazards and visual styles.

No precise release date beyond the September 2026 window has been announced. Crimson Moon is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and can already be wishlisted on the PlayStation Store.
