Croc 2 remaster headed to PS5, Xbox, Switch and PC

Argonaut Games announced a remaster of the 1999 PlayStation game Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC. The studio did not provide a release date.\n\nThe remaster adds gameplay changes including a triple jump, new enemies, additional characters and revised mechanics. Argonaut described the project as a modernization of gameplay and presentation while preserving the original game’s core structure.\n\nVisual updates will refresh environments and character models. The package will include a digital museum documenting Croc 2’s development and release and offering behind-the-scenes material about the original project.\n\nCroc 2 launched in 1999 as a 3D platformer. Players control Croc, a crocodile searching for his missing parents and attempting to rescue Professor Gobbo. At launch the character appeared in extensive promotional campaigns and tie-ins.\n\nArgonaut has not released gameplay footage, screenshots, pricing details or a pre-order schedule. The studio said it will provide more information, including platform-specific features and a launch window, closer to a formal release announcement.
