Deadzone: Rogue 2 PS5 demo coming to PlayStation Store
Prophecy Games will release a free Deadzone: Rogue 2 demo on the PlayStation Store; more details are due in June and no full-game date has been set.
Prophecy Games announced a free demo of Deadzone: Rogue 2 will appear on the PlayStation Store, offering a playable preview of the PS5 sequel. The studio said more details will arrive in June; a full release date has not been set.
The sequel retains the first-person shooter roguelite structure of the original and is set on a fallen Earth. The developer’s overview invites players to “Fight as Talon 13-10 in this first-person shooter roguelite adventure set on a fallen Earth.” It continues: “Combine weapons, augments, and elements to forge devastating builds and blast through Monarch’s endless machines. Grow stronger each run, solo or with friends.”
Prophecy reported that Deadzone: Rogue was played by more than 750,000 players across platforms in the year after its 2025 launch. The company said it will preserve the “core gunplay that fans love” while expanding progression systems and offering more flexibility in how runs are approached.
The free demo will be available on the PlayStation Store and is expected to let players test combat and progression ahead of the full release. The studio did not provide a specific demo date beyond the June update and indicated the full release window will be shared closer to launch.
A new trailer from the developer shows combat against mechanical enemies and suggests varied weapon and augment combinations. Players interested in the demo should watch the PlayStation Store and Prophecy Games’ official channels for the June announcement.
