Death Stranding 2 Deluxe Half Off on PlayStation Store

Sony’s PlayStation Store is offering a 50% discount on the Digital Deluxe Edition of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach for PS5. The edition is listed at $39.99, reduced from its $79.99 launch price, and the sale runs through July 2, 2026. The offer applies to the digital PS5 version sold through the PlayStation Store.

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the full PS5 game and 48 hours of early access. It also provides an early unlock of the Machine Gun (MP) at level 1 and in-game content labeled Patch 70: Quokka, Patch 71: Chiral Cat and Patch 72: Why Me?. The package contains cosmetic and equipment items described as Battle Skeleton: Gold, Boost Skeleton: Gold and Bokka Skeleton: Gold across levels one through three.

The discount is limited to purchases made on the PlayStation Store for PS5 and does not apply to physical copies or to other editions unless those editions are separately discounted on the store. The 48-hour early access feature applies to digital buyers who purchase the Deluxe Edition before the game’s standard access period.

Death Stranding 2 is a 2025 PS5 exclusive developed by Hideo Kojima. The game follows Norman Reedus as Sam Porter Bridges and is set mainly in Australia 11 months after the events of the first game. Its story involves efforts to connect the Australian continent using the Chiral Network. The cast includes Léa Seydoux, Elle Fanning, Troy Baker, Shioli Kutsuna, Luca Marinelli, Alastair Duncan, Alissa Jung, Debra Wilson and Tommie Earl Jenkins, with likenesses of filmmakers George Miller, Fatih Akin, Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn.

As of March 2026, Death Stranding 2 had sold two million copies and received multiple award nominations, including several for Game of the Year. Purchases must be completed on the PlayStation Store for PS5 before July 2, 2026, to receive the discounted price and included digital extras.
