Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor launches on PS5

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is now available on PS5 for $12.99 after a year of Xbox exclusivity. The auto-shooter is a spin-off of Deep Rock Galactic.

Ghost Ship Publishing has released Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor on PS5 after a year of Xbox exclusivity. The game is a spin-off of Deep Rock Galactic that places players in procedurally generated mines on the planet Hoxxes.

Players fight groups of enemies while their weapons fire automatically, so they do not need to aim and shoot manually. The game’s levels require players to dig through rock, create hiding places and manage their position as the mine layouts change.

After each round, players can use collected resources to upgrade their weapons and strengthen their character. The game was inspired by Vampire Survivors and belongs to the bullet heaven auto-shooter genre.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor costs $12.99 on the PlayStation Store. It was previously released on PC, mobile devices and Xbox consoles.

Three paid add-ons are available for the PS5 version. The After Hours Pack and Supporter Pack cost $4.99 each. The Heavy Duty Expansion costs $9.99.

The Heavy Duty Expansion adds the Demolisher class, which can operate the weaponized Rockdozer vehicle. It also includes the Glacial Strata biome and the Egg Hunt mission type.

During Egg Hunt missions, players collect alien eggs and have Bosco deliver them to a central cargo point. This summons a Brood Nexus and starts a multistage boss fight with additional rewards.
