Destiny 2 Legacy Collection hits PS Plus Extra; Bungie ends support

Bungie has stopped producing new content updates for Destiny 2. Sony added the Destiny 2: Legacy Collection to the PS Plus Extra tier, with the collection scheduled to appear on the service today; availability may vary as the listing rolled out.

The 2025 Legacy Collection includes the base Destiny 2 game and the expansions The Final Shape, Lightfall, The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, Shadowkeep and Forsaken. The package also contains the 30th Anniversary Pack and three story dungeons: Pit of Heresy, Shattered Throne and Grasp of Avarice.

Two expansions are not included in the Legacy Collection: The Edge of Fate and Renegades, the latter being a Star Wars-themed expansion. Both excluded expansions are listed for sale on the PlayStation Store.

Sony is offering the Legacy Collection as a bonus title within the PS Plus Extra tier, separate from the service’s regular monthly game announcements. The company is expected to confirm the full PS Plus Extra lineup for July 2026 in the coming days.

Destiny 2 launched in 2017 and received multiple major expansions and seasonal updates over its run. With Bungie ending content support, the Legacy Collection makes a large portion of the game’s paid narrative expansions and dungeons available to PS Plus Extra members without separate purchase.

Players who want content not included in the collection can still buy those expansions from the PlayStation Store while sales last. Regional availability and the timing of the collection’s arrival on PS Plus Extra may differ for some users.
